We are excited to be partnering with Footscray Community Arts Centre to present the West Writers Group from March to October this year. It is a wonderful opportunity to writers, poets, theater makers and songwriters to develop their work, meet other creatives, gain professional development and celebrate the diverse voices of Melbourne’s west.
WWG is a collective of writers from diverse backgrounds who currently live, work or have other established links to Melbourne’s West. It is a collective that will amplify the stories and voices of Melbourne’s West.
In developing the many individual stories from writers from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, WWG aims to create and profile a unique ecosystem of diverse narratives that will situate Melbourne’s West in the boarder literary arts dialogue.
